This course provides participants with the technical knowledge and skills in welding using the MIG process. Trainees in this course are trained to deposit weld using the complicated equipment of GMAW. It utilizes the arc welding process in which the heat for welding is generated by an arc between a consumable arc and adjacent areas of the base metal. The areas are protected from atmospheric contamination by a gaseous shield provided by a steam gas, mixture of gases fed through the electrode holder.
